The Awareness Center has been the spiritual home and practice space for yogis in the Pasadena, Glendale, and San Gabriel Valley area since 1974. We offer high-quality classes in a comfortable, relaxed environment, and we are known for our dedication to assisting students in transforming their lives.
We specialize in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, which uses breath, mantra, posture, and mudra to strengthen all parts of the body, expand awareness, reduce stress, and promote spiritual healing and development. We also offer hatha and pre-natal yoga, Qi Gong, and Body Freedom dance classes on our regular schedule.
Private services include:- Healing Breath Technique with Wahe Guru Kaur/Gisela
Each session with Gisela is unique, but usually include a three-part "Healing Breath," a clearing of the seven major energy centers, and using Gisela's gifts as a clairaudient to communicate with your subconscious self. You will leave feeling peaceful, connected and often with a completely altered way of looking at your life. - Healing Massage with Guru Darshan/Timothy Birnschein, CMT
Timothy uses a massage form derived from Tai Chi Ch'uan, aromatherapy essential oils, and Reiki to release energy blocks and promote extended healing. Timothy studied massage at the International Professional School of Bodywork, and has been practicing for more than 10 years. - Reiki Renewal Sessions with Haridass and Devmurti
Reiki is a hands-on healing technique that transmits the flow of soothing, spiritually-guided Life Force Energy through the palms of the practitioner into various parts of the body. Haridass and Devmurti have collectively practiced Reiki since 1999. - Ayurvedic Consultations with Dr. Jayagopal
Ayurveda is an ancient system of health care that is native to India. Dr. Jayagopal uses the ancient art of pulse reading to read the client's body type, present state of health, and many other intricacies, and then prescribes a customized program for the client. - Studio Space Rental and Private Events
Space rental is available for private parties and events and healing sessions. We have two beautiful yoga studios, lobby and reception area, two bathrooms/changing areas, kitchen, front and back patios and gardens. We also host and organize birthday parties and bridal and baby showers. Our licensed ministers are available for wedding services. |
