"Alcestis" at Boston Court
The Theatre @ Boston Court presents “Alcestis,” a play written and directed by Nancy Keystone, inspired by “Euripides.” The piece is a visceral dramatization of the life-and-death struggle of a woman who volunteers to die to save her husband’s life, and the wrangling that people do with the gods to circumvent the death decree. “Alcestis” opens at 8 p.m. Saturday and continues at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through July 27. Tickets are $34, $29 for seniors.
