The play “Colony Collapse” is a story narrated by the ghost of a 15-year-old girl, exploring the cost one family is willing to pay for a second chance. It follows recovering meth addicts Mark and Julia take over operations of an Oregon apple orchard and realize they are in over their heads, yet try to produce a viable crop and create a new beginning. It opens at 8 p.m. and continues at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through March 20. Tickets are $39 general, $34 for seniors and $20 for students.
A Piano Spheres free workshop featuring pianist Vicki Ray offers the opportunity to observe how the composer and performer work out new pieces of music, with composers Mu-Xuan Lin and Dominique Schafer, with moderator John Schneider of KPFK at 1 p.m.
