"The School for Wives" at Parson's Nose

Parson’s Nose presents Molière’s comedy, “The School for Wives,” adapted by Artistic Director Lance Davis, a play poking fun at the male assumption of superiority in 17th century France, when old men fancied young brides. It opens at 3 p.m. and continues 7 p.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 28. Tickets are $5 to $25.

Shakespeare's Rose Queen

An entirely new Shakespeare play is coming to Pasadena, thanks to the Ensemble Shakespeare Theater. The Ensemble has adapted Shakespeare's so-called History Plays into an entirely new play that focuses on one character from those plays, Queen Margaret (the "Rose Queen"). Shakespeare's Rose Queen follows Queen Margaret's rise to becoming the most powerful leader in England, only to be betrayed in the end by the men who had sword their loyalty.
