Unbound Productions presents its annual event featuring play readings of “The Grove of Rashomon” (an adaptation of Akutagawa Ruyunosuke’s “In a Grove”), Harriet Beecher Stowe’s “Two Pictures in One,” Robert E. Howard’s “Pigeons from Hell,” a staged reading of a teleplay from “Star Trek’s” original series, live music and magic from 6 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $35, or $30 for members.
Julia Edwards’ World Premiere play, "Untethered" is a wacky new love story, not the Hallmark variety, the messy, screwing up, begging for mercy kind. "Untethered" is directed by Jen Bloom, featuring Joy Osmanski and Adam J. Smith, and features original music by Steven Kai van Betten. "Untethered" opens Friday and runs through June 7 at the home of Wicked Lit, Mountain View Mausoleum. There will be no shows Memorial Day weekend or May 30. Performances are 8pm. Fridays and Saturdays and 7:30 p.m. Sundays. The play is 2 hours with an intermission. Tickets are $30 and are available by calling (323) 960-1054 or at plays411.com/untethered.
