Seussical July 15, 16 at 7:30pm & 17 at 2:00pm July 21, 22, 23, at 7:30p.m. and 24 at 2 p.m. Dr. Seuss’ beloved classic characters find themselves intertwined in an incredible crazy-quilt adventure, in which the power of imagination and the most miraculous “think” will save the day. Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza. Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. So you think you can dance? This special summer beginning and intermediate class gives students the opportunity to experience lyrical dance, which combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz, and modern. Students will also explore how lyrical dance emphasizes the interpretation of lyrics to tell a story through movement. Students taking this class will walk away with dance skills that are current on Broadway and can be seen in Tony Award Winning shows such as “Waitress” and “Hamilton.” Lyrical dance is an exceptional skill that every dancer should have in order to shine at auditions. Great for college auditions! Be taught by a Shakespearean Professional. Want to learn how to perform, memorize, and analyze the most famous playwright of all time? A five session class will teach you scansion, memorization, voice, and diction of some of the most famous Shakespearean texts and maybe even a couple of Shakespearean insults. The class includes a showcase performance of each student's monologues and scenes. For ages 9 to 13 5 classes for only $100.
