Folk duo brings Chicago style to Altadena

Chicago-based folk duo Small Potatoes has been a sought-after act at venues around the US since the band’s founding in 1993. Find out the reason behind its popularity Friday night at Coffee Gallery Backstage.
The pair consists of Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso. During their run as Small Potatoes, they’ve been repeat performers at prestigious events, including the Kerrville, Walnut Valley and Philadelphia folk festivals, and at coffee houses far and wide. Manning won the Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Contest in 1998.
The multi-instrumental duo plays a range of original, traditional music ranging from Celtic to cowboy, pulling influences from country, blues, swing and Irish music.
Small Potatoes has produced three discs to date.
