Cheers Elephant brings Philly style to Pasadena
By John Sollenberger 08/28/2014
The August free concert series at One Colorado ends with a bang with rock band Cheers Elephant.
The rootsy, psychedelic pop-rock quartet — originally from Philadelphia, now based in Los Angeles — calls its style of music “chew it up, spit it out, rock and roll.” The young group of rockers boasts three-part harmonies and pop song arrangements that are sure to get the crowd rocking on a hot Saturday night.
That sound has landed Cheers Elephant gigs sharing the stage with rock acts including the Walkmen, Rubblebucket, Mayer Hawthorne, the Go! Team and Jefferson Starship, to name a few. They’ve gotten rave reviews from sources ranging from National Public Radio to USA Today.
