Those in the mood for some good old school rock and blues should check out Wumbloozo Tuesday playing an unplugged set at Big Mama’s Rib Shack.

The band — guitarists Michael Richard and Greg Krueger, bassist Mark Peters, drummer Ben Beckley, harmonica player Herbie “Doctor Fun” Katz and keyboardist Stan Harrison — plays all original songs that are somehow recognizable and familiar.
For example, if you like songs like “Mustang Sally” or those of the early Rolling Stones or the Animals, you’re probably going to like Wumbloozo. Its members — all once sharing stages with acts such as The Blasters, X and the Rhythm Pigs — contribute years of diverse experiences to the group’s signature sound.

Wumbloozo quickly conjures images of smoky bars, clicking pool billiard balls and clinking glasses — blues rock the way it should be.
