Get a job!

Whether your teen is a hard-driving overachiever or a hopeless slacker, Saturday offers the perfect chance to get them out of the house and ready to work this summer. More than 60 local businesses from American Eagle to Vans will attend a Teen Job Fair hosted by the Day One youth resource center, giving teens a chance to speak directly with potential employers and land cool jobs.
Informational sessions also available to attendees include mock interviews, resume writing workshops, resume critiquing services and the chance to take part in a Youth Rights in the Workplace session. In addition, the Do’s and Don’ts Fashion Show will spotlight the best and worst ways to dress for interviews.
All activities will take place between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Day One, 175 N. Euclid Ave., Pasadena. The event is free and includes a light lunch and refreshments. Call (626) 229-9750.
