Lookin’ for Trouble Blues Band rocks ABC Saturday
By John Sollenberger 06/05/2013
Historically, blues songs have been about trouble, heartache, woe and the vicissitudes of life. Saturday night, you can get a good kind of trouble at Arcadia Blues Club when Lookin’ for Trouble pops in for a set.
The LA-based band was formed by guitarist, producer and composer Greg Conte, who enlisted the aid of a group of seasoned blues rockers — Don Romine on drums, David May on bass and vocalist April Snow — to deliver blistering performances that have wowed audiences around the Southland.
Lookin’ for Trouble’s distinctive style boasts a powerful, yet melodic groove that gets people on their feet wherever they play. They pull music from the 1920s to the present and put their own distinctive stamp on it for a fresh, contemporary sound.
Their latest CD is “Look Out.”
