Hip-hop comes home to Terrace

Hip-hop comes home to Terrace

By John Sollenberger 10/16/2008

While hip-hop clubs don’t exactly abound in Pasadena, there’s a place that caters specifically to the city’s rhythm-and-rhyme crowd. Terrace Restaurant hosts frequent hip-hop nights with a multitude of jamming beat monsters taking the stage, the next one set for Wednesday with three hot acts and a deejay coming out to play.

You’d probably never know Terrace hosted live entertainment as you drive by it, primarily because it is after dark when things really start cooking. And speaking of cooking, this is actually a restaurant with a menu to complement excellent drinks served at a full bar. This is probably one of the most under-sung entertainment venues in town; one of Pasadena’s best-kept secrets.
On that note, get ready for all the hip-hop you can stand Wednesday as Qwell, Offwhyte and Rock Bottom take their turns, with DJ Dan One managing the action.

Music starts at 8 p.m. at Terrace Restaurant, 443 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena.
Call (626) 796-3030.
