Mariachi Divas heat up the Levitt’s final show of summer
By Carl Kozlowski 08/28/2008
They performed in front of the largest crowds in Los Angeles history when they took the stage before a crowd of a half-million people gathered for a Cinco de Mayo celebration in 2003.
Now the Mariachi Divas are bringing their passion for music and dance to the stage of the Levitt Pavilion for a free musical extravaganza during the final Saturday night show of the summer beginning at 8 p.m.
Consisting of several women in full, stylish mariachi attire cranking out energetic melodies on horns, guitars and other instruments, the Divas offer an entertaining flipside to a traditionally male-dominated tradition by featuring nonstop dancing throughout the performance.
Whether you’re with a loved one or your family, it should be a great time under
the stars.
Levitt Pavilion is in Memorial Park, located near the corner of Raymond Avenue and Holly Street.
