It’s late August and Pasadena partiers know that means one thing:
It’s time for the annual Old Pasadena extravaganza known as “Clayton and Danniel’s Birthday Party,” which is Sunday afternoon at 72 North in Old Pasadena.

First, the bash honors one Clayton Loucks, a fixture around Old Pasadena with a reputation as being a purveyor of good times and a friend to all. Making the day more special, it also honors local bass player Danniel Ledesma, who’s also running sound for the event.
The get-together starts at 2 p.m., with happy-hour prices lasting until 8 p.m. That means half-price drinks and appetizers from 72 North’s generous menu. In addition, the band The Dewberries performs its brand of rock on the softer side, along with special guests. This is a great excuse to get out of the house on Sunday afternoon, get loose and wish a happy birthday to a couple of local characters.

The party starts at 2 p.m. and music starts at 3 p.m. at 72 North, 72 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena. Call (626) 578-9990. Admission is free.
