Reward set in Mosley murder

At the urging of Supervisor Mike Antonovich, the LA County Board of Supervisors this week posted a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of a 90-year-old Altadena woman.
After putting out a fire at the home last Thursday, authorities found the body of Evelyn Mosley lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor.
Investigators believe someone deliberately set fire to the house. Authorities say there is evidence that the elderly victim struggled with her attacker.
A housekeeper was initially arrested, but was later cleared and released. Police have not released the cause of the woman’s death.
Mosley lived in the home in the 3200 block of Lincoln Avenue with her daughter and teenage grandson.
“She was a great woman, very vibrant. She just excited everyone she was around. You wanted to be like her when you got to that age and just be happy and full of joy,” said Helga Kuhn, owner of Bessie’s Daughters Soulful Tacos on Lincoln Avenue.
“We are definitely hoping for swift closure on this. We are grateful they have put the reward out there and are hoping that it will lead to some answers.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sheriff’s Lt. Liam Gallagher at (323) 890-5500.
