Songs from the Cellar
Sunday afternoon offers an opportunity to check out some great music and wine at this month’s installment of Cellar Sessions at Old Oak Cellars wine shop in East Pasadena.
By John Sollenberger 05/08/2014
Musician and songwriter Brad Colerick hosts the sessions, which include a potluck, wine tastings and live music. Sunday’s event features Nathan McEuen (nathanmceuen.com), guitarist and songwriter (and son of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band founding member John McEuen) performing his style of Americana music.
Then it’s Tracy Newman and the Reinforcements. Newman, sister of “Saturday Night Live” alumni Laraine Newman, has had a notable career of her own, both in TV and in music, writing for various hits like “Cheers,” “The Nanny,” “Ellen” and “The Drew Carey Show.”
She eventually went back to her first love, music, and has had a successful second career over the past decade writing, recording and performing acoustic folk music with the Reinforcements.

The fun starts at 3 p.m. Sunday at Old Oak Cellars, 2620-D E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena.
