CIA officers and 1 Jordanian spy were killed when a double agent who might have led them to senior Al Qaeda leaders detonated a suicide bomb at an Afghanistan base last Wednesday, The New York Times reported. Jordanian intelligence officials recruited the agent, believed to be a physician, while he was in prison.

Blackwater security guards were cleared last week of manslaughter in the deaths of 14 civilians in 2007, and the Iraqi government on Monday said it will be pursuing a lawsuit against the security firm, now known as Xe Services, in US and Iraqi courts.
