The first production to be offered at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center, formerly the Ebony Showcase Theater, is “Hope Runs Eternal,” the story of a struggling artist in the mid-career stage of life trying to pursue his dreams in the youth-centric music industry.

The production stars veteran actor Richard Brook from “Law and Order,” who also wrote the play, and Pasadena residents, Cynda Williams and Roger Mosley, best known as T.C. from “Magnum P.I.”

Nate Holden, a former longtime Los Angeles City Councilman, is the father of longtime Pasadena City Councilman Chris Holden.

“Hope Runs Eternal” runs through April 9.
