Singer/songwriter Brad Colerick’s popular Wine and Song music series Wednesday nights at South Pasadena’s Firefly Bistro offers a fun, mid-week music break in a relaxed setting. The series offers two accomplished singer/songwriter artists each week. This week, popular act I See Hawks in LA is joined by Rebecca Sullivan.

I See Hawks in LA is known for its unique brand of folk and country rock, with psychedelic influences on their electric efforts. The band’s newest disc, “New Kind of Lonely,” features 13 new songs played on acoustic guitars and acoustic and electric bass. I See Hawks’ signature vocal harmonies are augmented by Gabe Witcher’s virtuoso fiddle playing and fine work all around. Check it out at iseehawks.com.

The band is joined Wednesday by Rebecca Sullivan. The Wellington, New Zealand native now lives in Southern California and writes and performs music relating to normal people and situations, like feeling awkward, eating too much after a breakup and other aspects of modern life. Music starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wine and Song at Firefly Bistro, 1009 El Centro St., South Pasadena. No cover. Call (626) 441-2443 or visit wineandsong.com.
