The musical nonprofit MUSE/IQUE presents “Guitar Heroes,” a program featuring performances by some of the industry’s top artists and aspiring youngsters, Sunday evening at Pasadena Presbyterian Church.

Approximately 50 students from Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit that provides free music instruction and instruments to underserved public school districts across the country, will join the musicians onstage to play “Purple Haze” by Jimi Hendrix  and “We Will Rock You” by Queen.

The lineup also features two-time Grammy Award-winner Laurence Juber. The longtime Paul McCartney and Wings guitarist will deliver a solo acoustic set of Beatles classics.

Grammy winner Scott Tennant, Kirk Fletcher, James McVay, John Pisano, Alfredo Caceres, Waldo Valenzuela and Abraham Laboriel Sr., who Guitar Player Magazine dubbed the "No. 1 session bassist in the world," will also perform.
The concert is presented by MUSE/IQUE, founded in 2011 by Artistic Director and Conductor Rachael Worby to bring fresh perspectives to live music and multidisciplinary arts.

Pasadena Presbyterian is an ideal venue due to its superb acoustical qualities.
