The band Incendio, named after the Spanish and Italian word for fire, lives up to its name during a performance Saturday at Coffee Gallery Backstage.

Anchored by guitarists Jean-Pierre Durand and Jim Stubblefield and bassist Liza Carbé, who founded the band in 1999 and describe their passionate, boldly percussive music as “Latin guitar world fusion,” Incendio performs about 130 shows a year.

The sometimes explosive, improvisational musical experience they create has pleased crowds at high-profile venues such as the Sundance Film Festival, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Huntington Summer Arts Festival on Long Island.
