Santa Barbara-based US Elevator, the brainchild of Johnny Irion, husband and musical partner of Sarah Lee Guthrie, daughter of folk hero Arlo Guthrie, will be rocking the Levitt Pavilion Saturday night.

Irion formed the band in 2014 separately from Guthrie as the musical alter-ego to his and Guthrie’s previous efforts as a duo.

Irion’s US. Elevator serves as a transport to places around the musical map. The band’s sound boasts influences from visionary acts of the 1960s and ’70s, including the Beatles, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Gram Parsons and the Hollies.

US Elevator’s self-titled 2015 LP brims with provocative original material, propelled by Irion’s dreamy vocals and dazzling guitar work.

Music starts at 8 p.m. Saturday at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena, in Memorial Park, corner of Raymond Avenue and Walnut Street, Pasadena. Free. Call (626) 683-3230 or visit
