Many fans still may not know it, but before Katey Sagal gained fame as Peg Bundy in the TV series “Married with Children,” and later as Gemma Teller Morrow on the FX series “Sons of Anarchy,” she was already an accomplished professional singer.

See for yourself Saturday, when Sagal performs at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena.

In her pre-television days, Sagal worked with a diverse roster of top-drawer acts, including singing backup for artists such as Olivia Newton-John, Etta James, Molly Hatchet, Tanya Tucker, Bette Midler and Gene Simmons. She later fronted her own band, The Band with No Name. Since then, she’s released several solo albums, the latest of which was the 2013 “Covered,” on which she covered songs by artists including Ray LaMontagne, Gillian Welch, Tom Petty and Joni Mitchell. That disc featured a duet with Jackson Browne.
