Singer-songwriter Shawn Jones and his world-class band lay down a heavy dose of blistering blues rock Saturday at Arcadia Blues Club.

Jones brings the hand of experience to the stage, having spent some 25 years on the road. The Southern California native grew up listening to his father singing and playing guitar, leading him to pursue his dreams of hitting the professional stage.

The dream has come true, as Jones has been racking up more than 200 dates a year throughout the US, Ireland, the UK and the European Union. His soulful voice and virtuoso guitar work has led him to share the bill with awesome acts including Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Joe Bonamassa and countless others.

Along the way, Jones has recorded five studio albums and one live disc. His latest effort is this year’s “Pain Passed Down.”

Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. Saturday at Arcadia Blues Club, 16 E. Huntington Drive, Arcadia. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Call (626) 447-9349 or visit
