The Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair visits Central Park, 275 S. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, with Jackalope Summer Nights. More than 200 curated booths feature handmade, unique items, and DIY art workshops are available for all ages. Food and drink, including a beer garden are also available, and live acoustic music is included.  Admission is free, and the event is family-friendly. The Pasadena POPS presents a concert of Beatles songs performed by the tribute band Classical Mystery Tour, backed by the orchestra. Larry Blank conducts. Wilson Observatory Concert Under the Dome features the Lyris String Quartet performing works by David Hertzberg, Haydn and others, and an exhibition of rare scientific artifacts from the observatory’s collection is included. The Sierra Madre Playhouse, 87 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre, presents the musical, “Babes in Barns (The Mickey and Judy Show)” for a four-night run. This is the story of a young songwriter and playwright, Mickey, in 1942. His star performer and helper, Judy, dreams of the day when she and Mickey will become “Mr. and Mrs. Broadway,” as the calculating Dodie enters the scene with exaggerated tales of famous associations.
