Those hungry for a U2 concert can catch the next best thing Saturday night when U2 tribute act Hollywood U2 stops in at The Rose.

The band celebrates the original act’s 40-odd years of producing hits. Hollywood U2 reproduces the U2 sound with album-perfect precision, making it the top tribute act to the Ireland rockers.

In fact, the show is so authentic that even U2 members have praised the act. Bono actually invited Hollywood U2 lead singer Joe Hier onstage to sing with the band at a recent concert. The two performed a duet of “The Sweetest Thing” that stunned audiences, and led to critical acclaim, including high-fives in Rolling Stone magazine. The Wall Street Journal hailed the performance as well. The Edge said that Hier knew the song better than U2.

Hollywood U2 was chosen to be on Mark Cuban’s television show, “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.”
