The breathy, sensual vocals of vocalist Terri Nunn will be on full display Friday night when Nunn and her band Berlin performs at The Rose in Pasadena.
Berlin is a legend for its electro-pop artistry, which led to numerous hits. One of its best-known was the classic “Take My Breath Away,” which appeared on the soundtrack to the film “Top Gun.” That song went on to Golden Globe and Academy Award honors as “Best Original Song” in 1986. The sensual lyrics of the band’s hits, propelled by Nunn’s vocals, have created a lasting impact on the world of pop.
Berlin has received plaudits for producing 12 gold and platinum-selling albums. Nunn has been recognized by VH1 as one of the top 100 women in rock. The band debuted with a 1982 disc, the EP “Pleasure Victim.” They went on to record classics including “The Metro” and “No More Words.”
