Storytelling hit-maker Gordon Lightfoot, who is celebrating 50 years as a professional musician, takes the stage at The Rose Sunday as part of his 80 Years Strong national tour.

Lightfoot has scored countless international hits, selling millions of units with his astute songwriting and sound. Expect to hear hits including “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Carefree Highway,” “Sundown,” “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “Rainy Day People” and many others. In addition, he will perform some of his lesser-known album cuts.

The show will also weave in behind-the-scenes stories about his songs and personal anecdotes about his career and life.

Lightfoot has also contributed text to several books, and he’s produced various songbooks. He and/or his music have appeared in a variety of films, and he filmed Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Tour, on which he performed.
