Norwegian power couple fears the worst from Trump administration

On vacation in California, Norwegian research physicians and family friends Thomas and Marthe-Lisa Naess-Andresen recently visited Pasadena. They and their three young children enjoyed many of the tourist attractions the Southland has to offer, impressed by Universal Studios, Disneyland and Griffith Park. UPDATED: Opponents of allowing a giant telescope on Mauna Kea bring their message to rush-hour motorists

By: Catherine Bauknight and Kevin Uhrich With a decision expected soon on whether to allow a giant telescope sponsored in part by Caltech on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, opponents of the project on Tuesday held up banners from freeway overpasses in nine California communities, including Pasadena. Demonstrators are against construction of Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), which is being built by a nonprofit international partnership with corporate offices on South Arroyo Parkway.
